About Phoenix Film Festival Summer Film Camps

The Phoenix Film Foundation runs summer filmmaking camps for teenagers at its north Phoenix home. Filmmaking 101 walks campers through the fundamentals and has them make an original short, taking part in every technical stage from pre-production through the shoot to post. A Girls' Camp week runs the same programme with guest speakers – women working in the industry – and an Advanced Filmmaking fortnight goes deeper for older students. Every camper can submit their film free to the Arizona Student Film Festival.
