About Arizona Chess Central

Arizona Chess Central is a Phoenix-area 501(c)(3) whose stated mission is high-quality, low-cost chess for every scholastic player. Its camps take beginners up to 1800 USCF and run at a maximum 8:1 student-teacher ratio. Mornings rotate through five half-hour stations – computerised training, puzzles, video lessons, demo board instruction and applied gameplay – and afternoons move to notated games with analysis, private lessons, chess variants and large board activities. Every student leaves with a trophy and a certificate.
